Watch Dog Page

The Watch Dog page is a sub-page of the Hardware Settings page, which is only visible

when a Vertigo XG hardware device is selected in the Dashboard’s device list. The Watch

Dog page (figure 4-18

) is a feature that allows the system to continue video passthrough

during an application crash or a system failure.

NABLE FILL Enables the hardware watchdog. When the Vertigo XG is not running or the

machine is off, the watchdog will bypass all video inputs through their

matching outputs.

ENABLE KEY When the hardware watchdog is actively bypassing video, this setting

specifies whether the accompanying key outputs should be opaque or

transparent.

IME OUT Specifies the number of milliseconds that must elapse during which no

rendering occurs before the hardware watchdog kicks in. The default value

is 500.
