4-32 Vertigo XG Configuration Guide
XG Dashboard - Vertigo XG’s Configuration Software
OUTPUT CHANNELS Specifies the output channel of the hardware to use. Depending on the
hardware configuration of the machine, the possible values are A, B, C, or
D. When running multiple instances of the Vertigo XG simultaneously, each
instance must specify a different output channel.
B
IT COUNT Specifies the bit depth of the signal. Choose either 8 or 10 (default) from the
drop-down list.
O
N BOARD COMPOSITOR Allows the off loading of certain color conversion routines from the CPU to
the Matrox X.mio hardware. This feature is dependant on the correct
firmware options being installed on the hardware.
S
OFTWARE PASS-
T
HROUGH
Specifies whether the Vertigo XG should automatically pass through
audio/video when there is no scene loaded.
YUV P
ROCESSING Specifies if color conversion of video input is off-loaded from the CPU to the
GPU.
• CPU: Use the CPU to do the conversion.
• GPU: Use the GPU to do the conversion. The GPU is not
recommended, however, for HD video.
• GPU-PS: Uses the pixel shader to do YUV to RGB conversion.
I/O B
UFFERING Together these I/O buffering values determine the video delay of the
passthrough.
• I
NPUT: The number of buffered (frames) used for video input.
• O
UTPUT: The number of buffers (fields) used for video output.
VBI • P
ASSTHROUGH: Enables the pass through of the VBI data.
F
ILL & KEY - DELAY • HORIZONTAL and VERTICAL: Adjusts the horizontal (nanoseconds) and
the vertical (lines) timing of the fill and key, simultaneously.
F
ILL - HORIZONTAL DELAY Adjusts the horizontal (nanoseconds) timing of the fill signal.
K
EY - DELAY • HORIZONTAL and VERTICAL: Adjusts the horizontal (nanoseconds) and
the vertical (lines) timing of key signal.
